Grillin & Chillin Main Street Wauchula

Today is Grillin & Chillin event in Wauchula. People bring their grills and cook! They make
a contest out of it for the best griller. The Chairs for Children will have a tent there to display
our chairs! You can view all chairs at www.hcpl.wordpress.com. I finally finished the FSU chair
and took it to the Library on Thursday. Well, yesterday it received a bid of $40.00...people
can bid today, so Monday, I will leave an update on how things are progressing.
Hope you all have a great weekend! Smiles and Blessings!!

Comfort Dolls, Lingerie Holder, Pink Baby Coat

These are the latest in my comfort dolls! Am sure someone will be
happy to receive these!

This is a vintage lingerie/hanky holder made of white quilted satin.
This will appear on my etsy.

A most adorable pink jacket with bear head pockets.
This is a very small size. It is some kind of "nubby" fabric, but soft. I can't
decide if it will go to etsy or if it will make a cute cuddly toy! We'll see.

Painted Chairs for Hardee County Library, Wauchula

These chairs were painted for the Hardee County Library, Wauchula, Florida. Next month they
will be put up for bid at the "Chairs for Children" auction. Money earned from the sale of the
chairs will go to the Children's Library. Chairs were painted or created by individuals and then
donated for this worthy cause. As you know, budget cuts have been deep, and the library is one of the departments suffering. Any help we can get is so appreciated! Besides earning a little
money, this is a really fun project.

EASTER PILLOWS

LITTLE EASTER PILLOWS

I am in an Easter swap on Etsy Cottage Style and one of the items must be handmade by the
participant..me! I used some muslin that I dyed with coffee. The bunny and chick were
outlined with black embroidery thread and painted. There's a ribbon attached so you can
hang from door knob or on the wall. I added a bow of lace to each one and small button
flowers. I sewed and stuffed with polyfil. Voila! All done! These were fun, easy and quick
to make. I hope the recipient will like them. Smiles and Blessings. Have a great Monday
and week. Our weather is to be Spring-like all week. Yeah!

CONES ALTERED PINK

These are two hard cones that I painted and altered.
Cones are used for lots of purposes. I added some pink
tissue and three pinkish roses to the inside of these.
A small gift would fit nicely inside ...perfume, jewelry
or candy. I glued some paper to the outside and added
a few rhinestones for sparkle. Around the top is some lace,
ribbon and part of an old "pearl" necklace. The hangers
are made from various pieces of laces, ribbons and beads.
Hang these over a door knob or on the wall. Shabby chic
"cottagey" look! Smiles to you all.
