My Second Dozen Comfort Dolls bound for Miami, Florida

This is one of my favorite projects! I make these dolls for women's
centers around the country. This was started by Pat Winter and she has now sent the dolls to every state in the U.S. I enjoy doing
this, all the time knowing it might give someone a lift who is going thru rough times, and that someone is thinking of her and wishing
her well.

Eden's pink scarf

This is the PINK scarf I crochetted for Eden. She saw me
making another scarf one day and asked what I was doing.
When I told her she said she would like one...and of course,
PINK was the color of choice!

My Latest

Monday was an in-service day for library cooperative. Five employees from our county library attended. We all met at the Lake Placid Library.
It was a fun informative day with lessons in our new Polaris program. We had several breaks during the day which included drawings for door prizes, snacks and drinks. I was lucky enough to win a delicious candle! Lunch was a bar-b-que of hamburgers, cole slaw and baked beans, with all the trimmings! We spent the entire work day there and came away with great information.

Wednesday is my regular day off, so I headed out for a day of looking and shopping! I went to Books a Million, Michaels, and Bed,Bath and Beyond. I found a couple of new Somerset Mags and a Crochet mag that I thought my crochet class might like. Michaels had lots of clearance items, but I managed to resist a lot. Martha was on sale as they are clearing the area for new items...this will be fun to see what she has to offer. I had been looking for a new pillow for my head! and found one at BBB. I'm hoping it's the right one! Stopped at Beall's where I bought
some Christmas presents and a few things for myself to wear in the cooler weather...if it ever
arrives!

Hope you all have a great day!
Smiles and Blessings everyone.

Pink Crocs

Pink Crocs

Hi y'all...I mentioned purchasing the Croc's while visiting over in the Tampa area last week.
Well, I just had to take a pic and post so you could see what I bought! These are really
comfy, light, and check out the colors. I didn't know Crocs made flip-flops.

Crochet Class at our County Library

This is my scarf that I began crochetting in the class at our Library.
I am using this humongous hook and large yarn, so this works up very quickly. My scarf will be finished in no time! This is
single crochet all the way and is so much fun! You all need to try this! Smiles and Blessings, Nancy

Great Weekend

I am just home from a great week end with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was such fun and I had the best time. GG's four little ones; 5, 4, almost 3, and 7 mos. Three boys and one princess.

Went to Target where I purchased a new scarf, purse and pair of shoes! Then to Dick's sports store where I bought a pair of Croc flip flops.....PINK! Will let you know how comfy they are after I wear them awhile! I must admit they are too cute!!!

After church and Sunday school it was off to Jason's deli for a delicious lunch. I usually get the salad bar. That way, I know I'm getting my veggies and fruit for the day! Of course, I top it all off with the soft ice cream...swirl flavor. Oh, my! Such a great day and it is spent with loved ones.

Crochet Class

Today I started teaching crochet in our county library to several young Mothers.
They all did exceptionally well. Two daughters, ages 6-7, were also in the class
and both learned basic chain and single crochet stitch and loved it. They were
so excited! I will remember to take pics next week so you can see how far
they have progressed. I am working on a scarf that will probably end up being
a Christmas or birthday present! Crochetting is really fun and it goes quickly.
Till next time. Happy Friday and have a great week end.
Smiles and Blessings!
Nancy
