My comfort doll family!!

These dolls are being sent to Pat Winter who sends them a
dozen at a time to women's centers for abused and abandoned women. They are a reminder that
there are women world wide who remember them and send them love and best wishes for a better life.
These are another of my contributions!!!

New Camera

I finally got a new camera, but need to learn how to operate it! I'm hoping for better
pics! That is the reason I haven't posted here in a while. I have new dolls and projects
ready for the camera!!! Am at home today, so maybe I will be successful. It is cold
here today...down in the 30's, and my heater is running, so I am toasty! Smiles.
I am off now to try out the camera....so look back here later in the day to see if I have
posted new pics. LOL

Comfort Dolls

These are more comfort dolls I made that will eventually be sent to other
women's shelters. This is an on going project, so I will be making these
all thru the new year! Just a little something I can do to help someone.

Valentine comfort doll

This is my creation for this swap and challenge on Etsy Cottage Style.
These dolls are sent to safe houses for abused women. They remind
those going thru the tough times that someone is thinking of them and
wishes them well.

Bottlecap charms for the swap. I use vintage unused soda bottlecaps for jewelry.

2009

Hello friends! It's a New Year! Where did 2008 go? Happy New Year to you all! May this
be a year full of love and blessings and all things from God above. My first days have been
relatively quiet, with the usual chores. I managed to mix in some serious crafting!
I am again working on some comfort dolls to send to Pat Winter. This is such a worthwhile
project and I love contributing. These little dolls are such fun and turn into individual works
of art. I will post pictures when I complete them. Have also started working on the Valentine Heart swap. Swaps are so fun and let you use creativity in many ways. All of my creations will be posted here when I complete them. My resolution for 2009 is to keep my house clean!
and free of clutter....can a crafter really do that????? I had everything cleaned up for Christmas,
so this shouldn't be too difficult...altho', when I craft I drag out all kinds of bits, bobs, odds and
ends, as well as supplies! We shall see how this goes. Have a great Sunday and a new week.
