Vacation Time!

Time for my annual trip to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico.Englewood Beach is the greatest.
My family all congregate here and we enjoy spending time together.We do all the beachie
things and more. Little kiddies make it lots more fun.They love swimming in the pool, and the Gulf and just digging in the sand and running all over the beach!I like searching for shells and special "things" to use in my art work.We all relish one great seafood meal at our special
restaurant.The onion straws are wonderful!As well as the seafood dishes and gumbo.More

Day Off!

A day off! A time to catch up with some household chores and some fun things!I got a package

ready to drop in the mail tomorrow.Played with some paint and stamps. Ate some ice cream!

Getting ready to work on some new dolls I have come up with.Will show as I complete them.

These will be one of a kind with lots of embellishments and fun stuff..not a toy, but an adult

collectible.These will end up on my etsy....

The economy being what it is we are all seeing difficulties with our selling.We just need to keep

plugging along.We can try to help others along the way just by communicating and offering ideas

or hints that will give them a boost!

Sweet Memories Antiques & Collectibles

Saturday I spent a couple of hours looking thru this antique shop. It is an old house and each room is a little shop of its own belonging to individual sellers.This set up allows for so many
different and eclectic items. It's a heaven for those of us who live and love to look for any small
treasure! Prices here are very fair. My following posts show some of my little treasures! (not all)

My Angels

Here are my latest angel creations.
This is a wood pencil piece that I altered by adding heart wings, and arms.
Her face is decoupaged! Her dress is lace and arms and wings decoupaged.
Paint added and some distressing added.

This piece is fabric. Wooden letters spell "Angel."
The frame is green with sponged gold. Metallic gold stars added and green star down on the bottom corner.

A 4x4 canvas painted green with the angel decoupaged to it. The hanger
is made from wire on which I strung beads in shades of greens. Clear letters spell ange and a clear heart charm has been added. Hope you enjoy looking at these and they
are in my etsy shoppe.

Comfort Dolls Sent, Crochet and Knitting

Hi y'all! Mailed the dozen comfort dolls to Pat and she has received them already.I have been crochetting and knitting this week. Just some stuff that I had started working on a while ago and really want to finish. The baby afghan is complete.I would like to put more edging on, but ran out of the yarn! Am still knitting on this one..don't know how large it will end up being!I would like to donate these to some charity, hospital or place. If anyone out there knows of any place, please let me know.Plan on doing more dolls, but don't want Pat to feel over whelmed. But they are such fun to make that I can't stop, once I get started! They are all so cute, adorable, funny, loveable etc, etc. I am still working on tweaking my latest inspiration...will keep you posted on how it is going. Want to do some collage and mixed media that I have plans for and will post that as I go along.
