Gulf at Englewood Beach, Florida in the am!

Englewood Beach this morning! We did family pictures with this as
the background! It was blowing hard and the surf was crashing...beach has
disappeared. No sun tan today! This was so beautiful. Mother Nature doing
her thing! Hope there is no tropical storm headed this way!

You all have a great day! I am enjoying being with my family! on vacation.

Old suitcase repurposed

I've had this old suitcase for quite awhile.  I picked it up at a hospital yard sale for $2.00.

It was an ugly old mustardy-brown.  Someone's name written with marker on top!

But the inside was in really good condition!

Used to carry clothes to college or to summer camp!  But the price was exactly right! and I

couldn't pass it up!  I love old suitcases for storing special things.

Here it is after some plumy-purple paint and lots of flowers, birds and bushes glued to the top!

You can see how the handle looks now! 

This holds some of my favorite things I use in my mixed media etc. works of art.

Sunday in Tallahassee, Florida

Sunday morning in Tally!  Another beautiful spring day in Florida. 

Flowers are blooming, sun shinning, birds singing, church bells ringing,

 and balmy breezes blowing.

Spent the week end visiting my brother, children, and grandchildren.

One more graduated from FSU...that makes a total of three now..more

It is such a joy to be with my family.  That is what my life is all about.

I still work, craft, paint, sing, laugh etc., but my greatest joy is my

FAMILY!!
