Hi y'all, am back again! Sorry I have missed a couple days of posting, but hit a bump in the road and I got off track, so to speak. But will do better now. Weather here was yucky over the week end, but we were in need of some rain, so that was good. It is still coolish, but not cold. I am grateful for that, as I am a Floridian at heart and warm weather is my thing....beaches, gulf, palm trees, blue skies etc!!!! Come back and see me soon.
Just had to mention the cold weather that is on it's way into the deep south...FLORIDA!!
Yesterday I made a BIG pot of vegetable soup in anticipation of the cold! It is a BIG pot, so I may be eating this for the next week! I will be creating some art and eating soup this week end. Fun, Fun!
Hope you all stay warm and cozy and if you are out...drive carefully.
I just have to mention, that as a Floridian, this weather is way to cold for me! I know! I know! It is affecting the whole country, but the deep south?!!! The Land of Sunshine is under artic air blast. Will spring be far
behind? Can't wait for warm weather. I live in orange groves, and the pumps are running water for a week now all night long to save the trees. This is serious.
I hope you are all keeping warm! Those of you who not only are dealing with the cold, but also with snow, sleet, and freezing rain, stay inside with the heat on! Get busy creating and all that energy will help to keep you warm and the results will make you happy and warm inside.
Best wishes to you all in the land of Blog! for a New Year, 2010. May this be a year of renewal, joy and great love and creativity. Let's all pledge to be kinder to each other and help whenever we can. We are
so fortunate to be connected by this world. Remember those who are less fortunate or who have problems to deal with that make their lives harder. Spread kind words all over the place! Pat someone on the back and give encouraging words. Give praises for a God who is so good to us, and thank Him everyday for the blessings we receive. Dear Friends, have a wonderful day and New Year, and keep the faith.
I am a semi-retired woman who works part-time at our county library. Three terrific daughters and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren make up my immediate family.
Thrift-shops, antique stores, flea markets, vintage shops, etc., are my favorites! Mixing old and new with rustic country is my style that I call eclectic. And that makes me happy.
