This week...November 16-23...is International Button Week.
If you love buttons or have a collection this is a good time to
share them with pics on your blog. Have you thought about
where a button has spent its lifetime? from one garment to
another. Our ancestors would cut the button from a worn
garment to save for use on a newer garment. Even their
shoes had buttons. Can you imagine the time before zippers?
I'm posting some of my button collection. Some are antique,
some are unusual and some are new. They are all useful!
Many are beautiful. Let's all give thanks for buttons!!!
